There’s always an element of stickiness and grime when it comes to camping. From handling roasted marshmallows near an open fire, to cleaning the dirt that always seems to make it into the tent. You never seem to get fully clean while camping.

All the fun of camping was done for the day and Coco was ready to settle down and sleep. “Let’s sleep under the stars tonight!” Penny suggested.

Coco paused for a moment. It wasn’t that she didn’t want to sleep outside, it sounded like a good idea. She was just really tired. So without really saying anything, she dragged her sleeping bag out of the tent next to Penny’s.

As Coco was straightening out her bag, Penny gasped. Coco looked up and saw two shooting stars fly across the sky. She would have missed them if it weren’t for Penny.

As Penny made her wish, Coco sat still for a while, staring at the sky. Camping can be very busy. Why hadn’t she noticed how many stars are in the sky before? Penny started settling down in her sleeping bag for the night, but Coco stared at the sky just a little longer. She can’t believe she almost missed it.

A chill breeze blew and Coco shivered. It was time to get in her sleeping bag. Her eyes grew heavy as she tried to stare at the sky just a little longer. Just before she closed her eyes to sleep, Coco saw one more shooting star. She smiled to herself because she couldn’t believe it. She almost missed it again.
