Penny and Coco were spending the afternoon on a walk along the shore of Bubble Beach. There was no destination they needed to reach, only cozy conversations ahead.
They were in the middle of such a conversation when they met a crab on the beach. This one looked different than the other crabs, he actually looked crabby! “Oh, you look so cute when you frown like that!” cried Penny, “I just want to pet it!”
“I don’t know,” replied Coco, “it looks like it wants to be left alone.”
The frowny crab took a look at Penny and then at Coco. Then he started scuttling away. “Maybe if I pet it, it won’t be so crabby anymore”, said Penny as she reached out to the crab.
Before Coco could say anything, the crab looked back and saw what Penny was trying to do. With a quick jab, he snapped his claw at Penny’s hand. She barely moved her hand in time.
Penny was so surprised and Coco couldn’t help but laugh. Then the crab went off. They started laughing about what happened and soon continued their walk. Somewhere along that walk they decided to name that particular crab Mr. Snaps.
